The First Apology Is the Worst

An Easy Approach to a Difficult Subject - Philip C.

How hard do you find it to admit you are wrong and to give a heartfelt apology? Yet we expect kids to say they are sorry--even when they do not feel sorry. Really this is about teaching empathy rather than forcing a child to apologize. Really good for a reminder of why and how to do this--especially when it is actually in your best interests like during a law enforcement encounter! A whole family read. Taking it to the grandkids now!

A must read for all ages - Jen Ellen

This author has the ability to handle those tough-for-kid issues with humor and concise material that hits the mark. Apologizing is hard at any age and understanding why it is necessary can be hard for children (and many adults too). With simple illustrations and a wide selection of many areas of a child's life addressed, this is a must for any library. I picked this up locally.
