Vienna's Waiting

Tools in the tool chest - Joey B

Recently, I had cause to tell the family member of a suffering teen about Georgia's books. Through a set of circumstances I once met Georgia and learned of her suffering. Through the years I kept track of what was happening with her whenever I crossed paths with her dad. When a family member of my own seemed to be headed in the same direction as Georgia, I had Vienna's Waiting and then PAIN: an Owner's Manuel to share. These books have proven, more than once, to be a valuable tool in gaining insight into this terrible suffering.

Overcome your pain, hope is here. Finally... - Harley

If you were in debilitating pain, had seen many doctors, took many tests, and they all came up with "it's all in your head!"

In vivid detail, almost like a diary, Ms. Huston delivers the ultimate account in dealing with a mysterious pain that jeopardizes her relationships with doctors, friends, and most painfully, her family. Besides just citing the inexplicable pain that many, many others are contending with at this very moment, Ms. Huston sets out to save others from other such troubling personal sacrifices such as confusion, doubt and finally skepticism, the kind not just from others in the medical community but a skepticism about your own sanity.

This is simply a must read for anyone interested in why a seemingly doomed story of a girl in trouble turns out to be an inspiring, heart-warming truth of a family tightening their grip on hope and finding the next day to move forward into a new definition of success.

An unbelievable story. - Peter Elbling

I was in awe of this book and even more so of Georgia herself. Her courage and strength not just in dealing with the unbelievable pain she endured but also with an indifferent, disbelieving and incompetent medical profession reminds me of stories I've heard about the trials and tribulations that war veterans have experienced. I think it was the 23rd doctor who finally listened to her without judgement and prejudice and helped put her on the road to recovery. That she is sharing that experience in such an honest and unsparing way is a testament to her skill as a writer and her generous spirit as a person. Anyone who is going through something even remotely similar would do well to read this book. It will do them nothing but good.

It's hard to believe that Georgia Huston penned this book...

It's hard to believe that Georgia Huston penned this book at such a young age. The outstanding narrative chronicles a young girl's struggle with chronic pain, the despair, fear and search for answers. Destined to be a reference for those experiencing a similar journey in their own lives. A must-read for families coping with crisis.

Chronic Pain sufferers NEED this book! - Rebecca H

Georgia Huston's first offering on a difficult and widely unknown affliction sheds light on a
condition that many find impossible to discuss. Vienna's Waiting is an intensely raw and
honest account of her own journey in managing her own condition. Chronic pain sufferers
of any age will find relief within these pages.

Highly recommended! - Paul R.

Not only does Georgia Huston have a compelling story to tell about her harrowing experiences dealing with a mysterious medical condition, she has the ability to tell her story compellingly! Highly recommended!
